The Condemned Ritual

This project imagines a medieval narrative shaped by superstition, fear, and early belief systems surrounding witchcraft and black magic. In this historical context, ritual practices were often misunderstood and persecuted, most notably through witch hunts and executions by fire. The warm firelight rising from below evokes the imagery of burning at the stake—an emotional and historical anchor that becomes the conceptual foundation of the piece.

This leads to the idea of igniting a witchcraft symbol within or near a medieval village. Here, fire functions not only as a physical element, but also as a symbolic trigger tied to fear, belief, and punishment.
